This restaurant is truly a piece of Naples moved to Veneto. The menu largely borrows from the Neapolitan traditional cuisine: fried food, pizzas, pasta, mozzarellas, fish, all of them are well prepared and tasty. Cakes and desserts are an amazing planet on their own. My preferred dishes are the appetizers and pizzas. You don't have to expect a trendy-cuisine or a luxury restaurant, as there you'll get good traditional dishes, not experimental, at an affordable price. Last but not least, the atmosphere is very pleasant and personnel and waiters are surprisingly kind and friendly. In the summer, you can eat outdoor. I really feel comfortable each time i have dinner at Caprese.

Looked forward to eating here again on our second stay in Treviso. Last year we couldn't really fault it but this time, although some of the food was nice, some was disappointing and the service a bit haphazard and confusing, with staff not knowing exactly who was serving us, or remembering who was supposed to take our order. I asked for potatoes instead of salad with my dish, and was served with 1 slice of chargrilled potato! The slice of courgette and aubergine that accompanied it were flimsy to say the least, tough and inedible. My husbands starter of octopus, and main course of pasta arrived together, the octopus (which turned out to be so chewy it couldnt be eaten) was then swiftly taken away,and returned when he had finished the pasta! The dessert was delicious thankfully, as were the complimentary limoncello, meloncello and pistachio shots. Shame it didn't live up to our expectations of previous visits. Its a very popular place, maybe we were just unlucky this time.
