In general, we love the Kabuki restaurants, even though we went less and less after they took some of our favorites (and reasons​ why we went) off the menu.

I had the Ishiyaki which was fun and delicious. You cook the meats and veggies on a hot stone and they provide delicious sauces for dipping. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there.

I don't eat sushi. However, we have been to other Kabuki restaurants and I knew I would be able to get something I like. We arrived around 7:15 on Saturday night to eat before seeing a show at the Improv. The wait for a table was 20-30 minutes, but were told we could sit at the sushi bar immediately. I asked if I could order off the menu there, and the answer was yes. My hubby ordered some kind of sushi, while I got the teriyaki chicken (upgraded to white meat). The salad it came with was excellent (though some of the lettuce was too big to eat with chop sticks). I asked for extra teriyaki which enhanced the chicken (I like sauce). Hubby also ordered dumplings which were really good too. The service was excellent, as was the food. No complaints!

the miso soup was delicious! but once our green tea was out and we asked for a re-fill it took 15 minutes!! and the server completely forgot about it. we had to remind her and she didn't even apologize. the sushi was great though and my son loved the grilled chicken.

The menu at Kabuki is extensive and pretty authentic. I had a sushi moriawase and was pleased with the variety and quality of the sushi (the sushi pieces were a decent size as well). Our dining companions had combinations (sushi and tempura, teriyaki and sushi, etc.) that came with a salad and miso soup. My son had one of the ramen dishes, which he also liked. The servings were quite generous! The service, while pleasant, was slow. We had to wait quite a while for our orders to be taken and for the bill to arrive. Other than that, we had a delicious meal.
