Ate here during a 5 night stay, the indian food is delicious. We ordered a selection of dishes - although they were alittle slow to arrive, they most certainly didnt disappoint. Tasty, delicious food. The lady who served us was very welcoming and curteous. Would eat here again.
Halal food is not an issue in Chiangmai if you are near Night Market. AL Hussain Restaurant in Anusam market is the best place we have visited. Very good Pakistani and Thai Food. The owner Mr. Baqar is very helpful and has a personal touch in service. They also deliver to our hotel across the river. Tel: 0944681316 & 0876372959. He also explained us that we can be sure of Halal things in packed food like yogurt, milk, chips etc by liking at Halal mark on the product. In Thailand lot of brands like Nestle, Walls etc. mark their product Halal under the certificate issued by a Muslim authority.
You can sit inside and outside. It is a simple restaurant. This restaurant serves no beer, so you're on water or soda. We were here for lunch. The starter did not look appetizing, but tasted good. The soup was the filthiest soup I've ever tasted. Therefore I leave it after a nip. We were the only guests, but they paid little attention to us. Nor was asked if we liked the food or not. When we asked for the bill, still they did not asked why we dit not eat the soup. We thought that was a bit poor. But apparently they are used that dishes are not eaten by guests. We will not eat here again.
Who on earth has written all these amazing reviews... not customers. The food was microwaved, bland and bad quality. When the bill came it had drinks on that we had not ordered. No apology, they reluctantly took the extra money off the magic, fantasy bill and let us pay the correct amount. I guess they figured we were just tourists so it wouldn't matter. We felt ripped off and lied to - will not return.
