What a wonderful night. We had been meaning to get to Ester for a while and finally made it. While we were perusing the menu and pondering what to do a man at the next table explained the 'share' concept and made some recommendations. Great way to begin, friendly diners. Then the waiter appeared and talked us through the menu. We decided on the tasting menu. Does it come with a wine flight? No and with good reason the dishes come quite frequently. Nonetheless back to the wine list - great, Larmandier champagne, a favourite. So we started there. The food was great, the service was great, the wine list was eclectic and interesting. The neighbouring diner recommending the blood sausage sanga - yum. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, helped by the wood-fire oven no doubt. It's the sort of local restaurant that will keep us coming back. It was a great night, faultless in fact.
