Awadh is an Indian spot on the UWS of Manhattan that is where you go to get some real indian food. We were pleasantly surprised to see the place absolutely packed on a Thurs night, had to wait 30 min for a table with no reservations (so make reservations!). The service is attentive, the food is just fabulous (having tried the owner's other restaurant Bhatti in Curry Hill I expected nothing less). We left wanting more and can't wait to return!

Nice group meal with 11. The restaurant was accommodating. Service for such a large group was slower than expected, but staff was helpful, responsive and the food was good. Order in advance for large groups. Nice restaurant space. Staff was kind enough to point out which dishes were vegetarian or vegan.

This is a very elegant restaurant, serving elegant and good food. The vegetarian dishes and the meat dishes were all very good, the only exception being the Samosa having a bland taste. The desert was an insult: the sorbet for 8 Dollars was supposed to be 3 kinds of sorbet. Only 2 kinds were available and very skimpy portions were served. The service barely existed to being ignored. Good food but too expensive, since everything is billed separately.
