This places boasts that if its not the best grilled sandwich, they will shout you a beer. Best cheese melt ever!! Must stop by if you're in the area

Who wouldn't love a restaurant dedicated to grilled cheese? Go! They've got a handful of different types of grilled cheese, from plain (cheddar) to fancy (goat cheese, avocado, bacon). Good bread, great prices. The tomato soup is spicy - for some reason, people seemed not to understand that and complained when we were there. And very good. Small place, but toasty in the winter, and has a nice counter where you can sit and watch the world go by. Free wifi. Prices are good for the city. Order at the counter (but maybe grab a table first). GO!

NYC has tons of places that are dedicated to grilled cheese (who doesn't love a warm, gooey cheese sandwich?!). Cheese Grille on the Lower East Side is one of the better ones. The restaurant decor is quirky and colorful, with high-seated tables in the dining room. It's casual, so you just order, grab your food and a table and enjoy. They serve about 10 different varieties of grilled cheese on thick Levain Pullman or Multigrain bread. Choices like ham & cheese, sloppy joe, mediterranean, buffalo chicken and even vegan. I went with the crispy goat cheese with avocado, gouda and bacon. Very delicious. The sandwiches are about $6-$9 and you can add on various toppings for an additional cost. They also have gluten-free bread. They serve two sweet grilled sandwiches banana mascarpone and strawberry.Their tomato soup is highly rated and they have some crunchy sides like sweet potato tots, cheese fries, regular fries, fried mac n cheese bites, onion rings and nachos. They also serve wine and beer. A great place to enjoy the comfort of a great grilled cheese sandwich.

Stopped here on my way home for dinner after a big day walking the streets of Manhattan . Drawn in by the sign on the street . Who knew you could talk up a cheese toastie? Lovely cafe with seating that has you looking out onto the street, to watch the city stream by. Awesome cheese toastie with a very decent red wine and all for less than $15 .
