This lounge is situated in a not so popular area of San Fran (a couple of blocks away from Tenderloin). The place is quite cool with a large selection of whiskeys and other drinks. Food was good, even though the service left much to be desired. Even though its expected to have music in a whisky bar, I felt that it was too loud and made it difficult to have proper conversations on the table.

Visited after hearing about this place from friends. Full name was Nihon Whisky Lounge but I think it's s little confused between food or whisky. The whisky range was definitely good by typical bar standards. However expect only the typical popular selections. They had a handful library bottles but those were clearly for display and no single pours available. Food was OK. Prices on the steep end of things even by SF standards. There are better options around.

We went there with friends because they have pretty good happy hours deals. They have some meals and drinks on happy hour discount what is a pretty good deal. We didn't know that the beer is not included in HH and we ended up paying $12 for a small light beer. That's totally overpriced. They have great selection of whiskey but it's not cheap. So just be carefull if you going there just for Happy Hours and choose your drinks carefully. The staff was a little bit too slow.
