A bit hidden, and you have to enter the basement to discover the small core of this brewery. We attended the opening of the May Bock, a true pleasure. Not to strong or sweet, well balanced. Lot of locals attending and a great atmosphere. If you are a keen and honest beer lover, you have to visit this place. The prices are fair, really, if you stay down town a taxi rides takes 15 min ( approx). A well spend evening, an early night it was, that has nothing to with the alcohol, it must be an age thing
This is a fantastic microbrewery that serves seasonal beers and a great pils. I could recognize a face from the photo on the leaflet with a picture on a mug. I am guessing that it is a project of one man who is in love with beer and a passion is something that you can taste in the beer. You can get a flammekueche or a pretzel to go with your beer which are ok. As beer garden closes around 10 you can continue in a cozy cellar. The owner is also experimenting with whisky-making and the first results are promissing. I must admit that the place is located in a run-down area. It is not a surrounding you want to take your girlfriend for a walk in the evening...
