Located off Thamel Road near Leknath, in a small alley (Hiti Road), Al Madina is a very modest Halal Indian restaurant that serves excellent food at backpacker prices. I have eaten there twice - tandoori chicken (half for 250 NRs = US$ 2.40), inexpensive roti, tasty dal, and look forward to going back. This is the place to get a really great lunch or dinner without paying the Thamel tourist prices.

Not clean at all ( To Be Avoided ) food preparation is very unhygienic. Dining area is not clean too and that include the almost everything you may imagined. Anyone those wish not to be sick after consuming food here are better avoid this restaurant ( A Red Flag )
