The staff was helpful friendly and cheerful, very uplifting. Without a reservation they accommodated my wife and I and never rushed us.
I first went for coffee and cake and mentioned that I might come back for dinner. They actually remember me and had even reserved a single table for me, how nice is that! But not only that the atmosphere is fantastic and staff could be old friends but the food is also excellent. They have been around for a long time now and that they still do well shows that this is not a one-off but a real gem!
Delicious warm ambient and excellent food. Dishes are tasteful and innovative and wine is excellent (I could find Valpolicella and Amarone!!!). I will come again as soon as possible.
Appetizer was roast beef, didn't smell fresh. I had to order icecubes three times before they finally served some and it was difficult to get attention. The starter was uninspired - salty duck cold cut with salad and dry cranberries, the best dish but far from a highlight. The mains were almost revoking - ravioli, venison with a terrible crust and overcooked cabbage, too many ingredients at once, heavy. The other dish was chicken and potato puree. We couldn't finish half of it. The best was the wine. It's a bit noisy and the brown plastic "leather" covers of the seating area are killing - making from a nice location an awfully shabby place.
