Having been to Japan, curry became comfort food for me. When I was tired after a long day of sightseeing, a big plate of curry was like eating a warm hug. And Go Go more than satisfies that yen when I came back to NY and is my go to place when I need a bit of comfort. The servings will sate even the biggest appetites, and their curry sauce is amazing. Sweet, savory with a real depth of flavor. I'd eat it on just about anything, but on the tonkatsu cutlet is my absolute favorite and the medium sized is more than enough for a very healthy dinner. Of course, if you have a super-big appetite (or are dining with friends) there is the Grand Slam, which is rice, curry sauce and pretty much everything on the menu (fried shrimp, pork tonkatsu, chicken tonkatsu, and sausages). There's minimal seating so if it's busy you may need to take your order "to go" but it's very much worth a try. And it gives me a little taste of what I great to love so much from while I was in Japan.
