Stopped off here last night 12/11/15 for a bite to eat,having noticed the BBQ fish menu. Me and my friend are huge fans of seafood and the 'double set seafood' sounded great. King prawns,squid,mussels and a whole sea bass,as well as blue crab. We ordered 2 cocktails which were very tasty and we were sat out on the sand. Unfortunately,the lighting was very dim so made seeing our food quite difficult!! The food arrived and looked good. However, when we tried it we were really disappointed. I know seafood, and what was served was overcooked, rubbery and not worth half what we were charged for it. 2 king prawns (one each) were dry,the mussels (about 4) and clams (about 4 again) were chewy. The squid was tasteless and overdone and as for the crab...well I've eaten crabs from many different places,and never have I had one that has no meat in the body!! It was like the body snatchers had been in and stolen it!! A couple of stringy,overcooked claws were sampled,but we gave up and tried the sea bass. This wasn't too bad,but very hard to spot the bones in the very low lighting (something I'm sure can be addressed.) When the waiter asked if everything was ok, I explained that we were disappointed and that the food was all overcooked and tasteless(apart from the fish.) He seemed surprised we weren't happy with it,but I assured him the meal fell far below a reasonable standard and asked for the bill. There was no apology or the offer of any money off or a free drink or anything. It's worth noting that we arrived after a table of 4 ladies who ordered steaks as we sat down at our table. They did not receive their steaks until we were paying our bill....we would not go back here again.
