Thainess" is the expo we saw. Very subtle on the 2nd degree. For over 20 years we come to Thailand to work, to conferences, for vacation, to visit friends. And we have been saddened to see what we love disappear. This expo called "What is Thainess" addresses that very issue. First the details of the cultural identity faded. And nobody asked. Then the hospitality faded. A loss from which they have difficulty recovering. Now the museum asks the question "What is Thainess? And the only answer they can give is printed on every other panel in every room : King, Religion Nation. But if you loved Thailand as we did, that is insufficient. Thailand was soooo much more.
