Restaurant Alt-Spandau
After walking around the picturesque Altstadt of Spandau. We wanted somewhere to eat, something other than Asian, Turkish or Pizza. So we opted for this little gem nestled on the corner of Moritzstraße. We walked in and it was so busy. We were the youngest people in the building other than the barman. We were asked to wait 5-10 minutes for a table. They kept their promise and a table was set up for us. You do have to have some knowledge of Croatian cuisine to know what you are ordering. I had the lamb fillet and my partner had the Cevapcici- a very delicious sausage like dish. There was a choice of lamb, beef or pork. Our aged waiter was very pleasant and his mannerism match the decor of this lovely little restaurant. It was like taking a step back in time when people had proper eating etiquette and general manners. We met this little old lady who told us all the places we should go and see. She is a regular and recommended we take the free Schnapps offer after paying the bill. We had no idea what it was, however.... it was good!
