We followed our Canadian tour guide's advice and we were not disappointed. Our tour group of master gardeners (30 folks in all) went to Montreal for an extended weekend. Our last official stop in Montreal was this restaurant. I ordered the strip steak and was asked, "why? You can get that at any chain restaurant in the States!" I stayed with my choice and was pleased. The steak was perfectly grilled, juicy and fork tender. The flavoring was out of this world. It came with a modest serving of al dente string beans and carrots. In spite of all the nutritional advice people leave the veggies on their plate or opt for the starches- hence a modest or token serving of veggies more of a garnish than a serving. Baked potato and mescaline salad rounded out the main course. Our dessert was a delightful slice of layered mousse and chocolate - light and not overpowering.
