Lived up to the legend of how good Georgian food and wine can be. The meal wasn\t cheap but the quality made it decent value. A very affable host and a kitchen who can cook great food made this the culinary highlight of my trip to NY.

I have a few friends who have moved to Tbilisi over time and I visited there myself about three years ago. Before going I would have assumed the cuisine would be more like Russian food, which I associate with bland cabbage dishes and stews. Maybe that in and of itself is entirely incorrect, but, regardless, Georgian food turned out to be excellent - full of cheese and bread and meat, all of which I love. So I was excited to get a taste of Georgia in the East Village and when I didn\t remember all the great things I had eaten in Tbilisi, the wait staff was incredibly helpful in determining wha tI remembered based on sparse descriptions fo tastes and ingredients lists. I highlight recommend this place.
