Slightly sketchy (in a fun way) but best Cuban sandwich in Los Angeles. Despite the colorful clientele, there is always nice, friendly service. They also have the best assortment of 40s I\ve ever seen. Grab a sandwich and eat it nearby at the Korean Friendship Bell - a great way to spend an afternoon!

We flew into LA to get on a cruise in San Pedro. Based on reviews and proximity to the cruise terminal we stopped at the Market Deli. The sandwich was awesome. Absolutely great meats on super tasty bread. It is a market with a deli counter. The only seats are a couple of tables on the sidewalk. If you want take out or are in the neighborhood you should give it a try. The eight inch was enough for me.
