My family and I like the food here. Our favorites are the nonya seafood curry in stone pot, fried chicken with passionfruit sauce, the fried roast pork and the shrimp wantons. We also like that we can order claypot rice from next door. The fried roast pork claypot rice is very good.

We have eaten here a few times. Previous experiences were great, particularly the roast duck, beef brisket and fish fillet. But yesterday we decided to try a couple of different dishes. Oh boy was that a mistake. I don\t know if the old cook has left, or it was his day off yesterday, but the quality of the food was poor. Had it not been for our previous positive visits, this would have been a 2 star review at best. Yesterday we had garoupa in a ginger and garlic sauce. The menu indicated it was supposed to be a fillet, which we usually go for to suit our young kids. However this dish had few fillet pieces in it, and massive chunks of bone. Plus the sauce was crazy over the top in ginger, and not very tasty at all. The second dish was a Taiwan style chicken. The chicken was cooked ok, maybe a little over, but the sauce was bizarre. It was like a smoky flavour, almost burnt. I reckon it tasted like they used one of those liquid smoke flavourings. The veggies, done in salted egg, were ok, but nothing special. The best dish by far was the frog porridge, which we got for the kids. That was delicious! Overall, we will give this place another chance, in case yesterday was just an off day. Hopefully they will get it right next time.
