We\re locals, so head up to Glenorie Bakery quite a bit. A pie on a plate is nothing special, but add a side salad and its a much nicer meal. I wouldn\t recommend the pepper pie - too much sliced potato inside. The staff are great, but for some reason every time I go there I get frustrated by the time it takes to order food. Maybe its because the person who takes the order also gets the food. Or maybe its because the place is aways so busy and full of people procrastinating about what to order? I\m not sure. The cutlery station is also usually empty. And if you order more than one pie, you\re handed three pies on a plate, with the plates stacked on top of each other. They need to invest in a few trays! For a pie, this place is expensive. But the place does have a nice atmosphere and is a nice place to grab a snack. I think the claim that Glenorie Bakery has the best pies in Sydney is a bit of a stretch.

Reading some of the previous reviews you would think they were expecting a Michelin starred restaurant ..... its a bakery for goodness sake! Food and service are very good for a bakery/cafe. Lots of variety in food and drinks, the pie flavours are extensive with lots of veg options. Plenty of seating inside and out, traditional tables and some pretty unique ones as well! Have been here a number of times and it is consistent, pies are great, chips are great, service is spot on. If you are passing through stop for a refresh, its worth it .... just remember its a bakery/cafe.

There was a Public Enemy song called "Don\t Believe the Hype". Pretty sure it was about this bakery. It\s NOT a Restaurant it\s just another Bakery, granted, with a well decorated interior and large variety, but to be honest it\s proof that if you tell people how good you are a certain percentage are eventually going to believe you and good on you if it works. The staff obviously don\t enjoy working here and unfortunately it reflects in some pretty poor attitudes. Would I go here again if I was to visit the area again? Probably not.
