I was on my own in Perugia and don\t speak any Italian. I decided to try out this restaurant near where i was staying. The staff were friendly, didn\t immediately try to speak English to me, but gave me an English menu as well as the Italian one. The antipasto Bottega was amazing and I was generally really pleased with the food. It is homely rather than haute cuisine, but that suits me just fine. I went a second time the next day and the impression was confirmed. The restaurant is small, with only about ten tables, and the owner is happy to chat (he spoke good English). The whole experience made a positive impression on my trip to Perugia.
