I really hate to give bad reviews, but due to the nature of this complaint I feel that I\d be doing a bit of a disservice if I didn\t. I dropped in for a pot of tea and made it clear to staff that I\m a ceoliac...asked if the cups were clean, etc. They said yes, and that everything was prepped separately from any gluten containing food, etc. Great. Got my tea. The teapot looked to be a little dirty and so did the cup, but I thought it as probably just water marks and tea stains. It\s a cafe afterall, it\s to be expected and it would normally not bother me! I also felt pretty safe as I\d been told that the cups would be kept away from anything that could make me ill. I drank my tea and shortly after was hit by the familiar \glutening\ that I\ve been trying to avoid. I know that things happen and mistakes are made, I have worked in cafes myself! However, a really big tip to you guys would be to wash and keep your cutlery and cups, etc. separately from any items used for none-ceoliac customers. Maybe have a set of plates/cups that you ONLY use for ceoliacs, and make sure not to use the same dishwater as you would for regular items. Or at least give the cups a blast in hot water before serving if someone lets you know they\re a ceoliac. It seems like a daft request but it\s so easy for sensitive ceoliacs to get glutened by this kind of thing...it\s not just the food we put in our mouths that make us ill. Aside from that, the staff were friendly and the place was really nice. I would come back but would want to be certain that I was as safe as possible next time!
