The food is not too salty, not greasy- just right. Affordable too. They serve real Italian cappuccino- tastes the same as in Italy. Excellent pizza and gyros. My favorite place in town.

We were out driving around and re-visiting old haunts on Memorial Day and decided to have a look around Downtown Orlando. We were reminded of how pleasant the area is and also of the fact that parking is not always easy - although to be fair there are several parking garages. We needed a drink and sandwich and so, spotting a free parking space, I pulled over in East Central Blvd. There were a few places open and we opted for the Metro Expresso Pizza which was a few yards away. Entering it was clear it was the type of place we like; a small, family-run independent. There were good smells and a mixed crowd of customers and it was busy. We were given a table and drinks were ordered. I had a Latte while my wife had unsweetened tea. We looked through the extensive menu. There were many things that we like but we chose a couple of sandwiches as we were booked for Dinner later. I had a tuna salad sub while my wife chose the egg plant parmigiana sandwich. The sandwiches took a short while to prepare but when they arrived they were quite large and when we tasted them, delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the Sandwiches were well put together. We only ate the sandwiches but we saw a wide range of dishes being served. The onion rings looked good as did the Calzone, salads, pizzas and burgers. The Chef said he would make any pizza to order. They also serve pasta and a good range of entrees and appetisers. There\s a kids\ menu and access is good with potential for parking on the Street. There was a choice of red and white wines and also beers. They do provide a carry-out service and a collect service too by calling ahead. The Staff members were chatty, helpful, friendly and professional. We\d be very happy to eat here again and we\d also recommend it. It\s not fancy but it\s clean, tidy, the food\s really good and it\s very competitively priced. With a tip our check came to $32 so good value indeed. It\s open daily from 11am to 11pm with late opening from 11am to 4am on Fri

We were a party of 5 celebrating an engagement of two close friends. We went to the Tiki Bar around the corner and decided to stop here for pizza after drinks. That was the worst decision we could\ve made. Our appetizers of Fries and Mozzarella Cheese and Jalapeño poppers were a sign of things to come. The fries were over done and the cheese was almost non existent on the plate. The poppers needed lettuce under them to fill up all the dead space on the plate. Our server Mitchell came over several times to check up on us and honestly he was the best thing about this restaurant. The pizza took over 40 minutes to arrive and the kitchen actually sent out two half pies to the table because Mitchell told us they burned our pie. The pies we did get tasted like cardboard and were hard as rocks. They certainly were not made fresh and probably were sitting for half a day. While all this was going on the owner of the restaurant was sitting at a table socializing with friends. We knew this because our server told us the owner was sitting across from us when we placed our order. After we told Mitchell we were unhappy, it took the owner several minutes to come over to the table and he managed to blame everyone but himself for our bad experience. All he did was make excuses and didn\t even apologize for the awful food. When it was all said and done, this was by far the worst pizza in Orlando and the owner has his head so far up a jar of sauce that I would be surprised if the business lasted much longer. Save yourself the trouble and bypass this joke of a restaurant.
