Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and head chef of The Rusty Spoon, Kathleen Blake when she won the Fish to Fork cook off at Omni Amelia Island Plantation. Told her I would come visit next time I was in Orlando. In addition to being absolutely lovely, she\s been a two time James Beard Award nominee, named among best chefs in the southern United States, and recognized by Women Chefs and Restaurateurs as a leader in community service and culinary arts. She\s been doing farm to table before it was a thing! If you ever go to Orlando and want a great dining experience, make sure you dine at The Rusty Spoon!!
