Kojis has been around Hilo forever. The Koji burger with a side mac salad is a must try. Their chili is great as well as their plate lunches. If you are hungry and want some classic local food, this is the place. Also, very reasonable!

Koji\s is very much a "work lunch to go" kind of place. It\s hot and crowded on the inside (standing room for a few people), but you can see that they cook fresh meat for each order. I tried the teriyaki pork and my husband had the teri beef, both were good and were served with a TON of rice, and the traditional scoop of macaroni salad. My favorite was the Spam musubi (Spam, rice, and seaweed). It was a delicious snack after a dip in the ocean. They also offer burgers, meatballs, other Asian meat dishes, and loco mocos. Glad we visited.
