这家店应该是很正宗的日本料理,很多日本人都过来吃,食材新鲜。

Found this restaurant in the basement of the Jasmine building on Sukhumvit. One of 5 - 6 Japanese restaurants over 2 floors. All the other restaurants were completely empty. This one was packed with just about all being Japanese diners. We were told no table available but waited until 1 table was available and tried to grab that to no avail. As we were leaving the building we were chased up by staff to say table had become available. So lucky. This is a ripper Japanese restaurant. Shown to our own small partioned seating area. Great service with fun like atmosphere although a little noisy. Tuna Capaccio was as good as it gets. The scallops, squid and assorted tempura seafood and vegetables were very very tasty. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We arrived hot, bothered and famished late one evening in Bangkok. Our search for Bangkok street food amounted to empty bellies and sweaty brows. Following the trail of Japanese tourist that thronged Sukhumvit Road, we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant. The sight of mostly Japanese diners in the restaurant assured us that this is the right place to be, late in the evening. We were greeted by friendly staff and was immediately seated. The layout and decor was decidedly Japanese. Our tastebuds were tickled awake and refreshed by Umeshu soda which is plum wine mixed with soda. The first course was Honmaguro Sanmi Moriawase which comprised of 3 types of tuna meat ie red meat, a slightly fatty meat and the juiciest and fattiest meat. At first bite, we thought we\d died and gone to Japan tuna heaven specifically the Tsukiji fish market! Our tongue was elevated to a higher plane when we eventually bit into the fattiest tuna slice. It simply melted in our mouth! Our second course was the Meguro Tataki which is a different take on tuna but just as good! A third course of Tofu Mentai arrived and we polished it in record time. It was the softest, silkiest and smoothest tofu we ever had. It was smothered with cod roe on top and the combination of the two was addictive. We could not help but order the ubiquitous sushi for the next course and opted for the Nordic roll instead of the usual California roll. It turned out to be the creamiest and tastiest roll we ever had thus far in this part of the world (minus Japan). The combination of creamy avocado and salmon plus the starchiness of the rice and pop of saltiness of the roe gave it the "umaminess" that people seek. Our last course came in the form of whole grilled squid which has been cooked perfectly. It had the right chewiness and delivered in flavour. This restaurant is a gem of a place and we are so lucky to have stumbled upon it! The unlucky part is knowing that it would be difficult to top this restaurant elsew
