Thai type of Chinese food.. Crowded... Service is average... I find the food here very oily and a little salty even after telling the waitress to tell the cook not to add too much oil and salt.

Travelled to Bangkok for the weekend and decided we would go for a Chinese and chose Shangrila Kitchen as it was close to the hotel. The food was average but delivered quickly but the service was among the most miserable I have ever experienced. I wanted to order beef \hong kong style\ but when I asked what \hong kong style\ was - and I was speaking in Thai to an elderly Thai waitress - she just kept jabbing her finger at a curled up photo on the dilapidated menu so I chose beef with oyster sauce instead. The service staff were just unpleasant and it proved the point that quality of service is just as important as the food. There are many better Chinese restaurants within walking distance so we wont be going back.
