I went for lunch with some of my colleagues. This place went beyond my (normal) expectations. Good food, attentive waiters and more importantly, the food arrived very quickly. Had a good time there and will definitely return to sample more dishes and cakes.

The branch in Central World became our go-to place for our Thai food fixes during Songkran week. In the many years I have been visiting Bangkok, I have always passed this restaurant by every time were visiting this mall to focus on other establishments within the area instead. Earlier this month, on the day of our arrival, we had late lunch at Kalpapruek and they did not disappoint. We had chicken larb, kale with crispy pork, curry and fried fish. It wasn\t as if we were simply hungry but the food was actually very good. Servings are for sharing (although the rice bowl is small and the curry and spices merits a 2nd order) and prices are most reasonable. Our party of 3 shelled out THB250++ each...not bad for a decent restaurant. Service is friendly, too. Kalapapruek maintains 2 sets of menu: western and asian and their thai specialties are mostly from the northeastern region. Their Central World branch is located on the 7th floor across from the cinemas and beside After You, a popular dessert place. As mentioned in the menu, we enjoyed the food so much we came back 3x times.
