A bit hard to find on a tiny sub soi on Soi 26 - but popular with Japanese expats and visitors - this lovely and refined eatery is gracious and I think very good value for money. The food is eight notches above the usual Japanese offerings in Bangkok, with authentic and detailed dishes, superb home-made tofu, delicious salads ( not to mention a home made live pate! ) and of course superlative grilled chicken parts. "Jidori" means chicken in Japanese so this is where you come when you have to have perfectly grilled poultry. They also have excellent sake. If they are full ( which is often ) there are two other nice places right next to it and if you dare you can go for a massage afterwards next door.
