This training restaurant of Vatel Business School was recommended by a friend and well worth visiting. A delicious 3 course menu for little money. The students show their best attitude whilst observed by the teachers, so you will definitely have a good time. Food was great. A hidden place that should be tried.

Just to follow up on my previous review. Vatel is still there offering French and International specialties. If visiting it is a very comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. Please see my previous review on how to get there. As you enter by the side of the post office, before the security station, take a right and as you turn the corner, Vatel will be right there. As this is a practicum facility of the French Culinary school, which is under the auspices of Silpikorn University, the workers are all students with senior staff supervisors. Our dinner this time was very good, 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 2 desserts to chose from. The lobster over pasta was excellent, salmons over spinach equally good, but the duck was done too rare. It should have been cooked longer. The student servers are learning and as they do there job, are being observed and guided by senior staff. Price is the same, and the cafe next door has delicious pastries.

I don&#39;t mean to review the same place over and over, but since I have been twice since my last review, I have experienced a considerable decline in the level of service. You can read my previous reviews. This is a French restaurant of a culinary school. There are French teachers and Thai students. On these recent visits, the French teacher is standing around and the Thai students are doing the same. The teacher should be standing over the students when they come to take your order. You have a menu with 2-3 choices of appetizer, entree and dessert. So the student takes the entree and walks away. She gets appetizer and entree form another but no dessert. The students had to make many trips back to the table with the teacher, when only one trip was necessary. It is a simple process, not a complicated system like other restaurants. Come on guys, this is suppose to be a training restaurant. Other than that, and I am hoping it improves, it is a comfortable setting and the food is consistently good. Also, there are three steps up from the sidewalk, if you are in a wheelchair, but the students will certainly help.
