First, the map to this restaurant on Tripadvisor is inaccurate. This restaurant is actually located near the lobby of the Japanese owned Flower Hotel which is a km away and is one of the 3 or 4 hotel restaurants. The decor is very typical Japanese and pleasant. Nothing fancy. There\re booths and table sittings. The menu is absolutely clear, concise and you know what you\re ordering and how it looks. Sashimi or sushi is not on the menu. However, the food will not disappoint. Now, this is the best part, the food. Everything I ordered was remarkable for a Japanese restaurant outside Japan. I ordered soba with dipping sauce and my guest ordered pork ramen. Both were incredible. Noodles were cooked right, not soft of soggy or anything. The broth and dipping sauce was really good. I also ordered grilled horse mackerel, mixed tempura and grilled eel. To cut to the chase, they all tasted incredible. I was really blown away by the grilled horse mackerel. This restaurant is severely underrated in my opinion and is underselling itself. The food were reasonably priced. Our bill totalled under €45 with drinks included. At this price, it\s impossible to even buy a full Japanese set meal lunch in Europe. Unadon at any decent Japanese restaurant in Europe is priced close to €20 or more. The staff were nice and attentive. I give this restaurant a big thumbs up. If you\re a Japanese food lover and happen to be in the main square of Ulaanbataar, Mongolia, check out Fuji. I\ll be trying other Japanese restaurants here and I\ll sure to dine again at Fuji. The menu is impressive and they even have a large selection of set meals and bento.
