The menu was refined and the dishes we chose were amazing. There are weekly specials & the standard pub fare, however, there are quite a few dishes which were Masterchef quality! We had a lovely lunch out in the back courtyard area, and as the sunlight dwindled we headed inside upstairs to a great light filled lounge area for coffee. Out the back of the pub is a huge chess board for guests to play a game. We ordered Garlic prawns w chilli, lemongrass, ginger & parsley, wanted to drink the sauce! Followed by Four hour confit pork belly w crispy skin, bacon salt crusted candied apples, ricotta dumplings, carrot purée, snow pea tendril, baby radish & red onion salad. Another meal we tried was Crispy skin salmon w chat potato pressé, roasted zucchini, confit fennel, cherry tomato & caper berry salsa, pickled pumpkin, beetroot pearls & lotus root wafer. This pub is constantly busy both day and night I now know why. Live in the area, so will become a cherished local eatery.

This place is probably a bit more known now that the light rail literally passes underneath it and the stop is a short walk away. The thing is that this pub is hidden away in Pyrmont and unless you know about it you will probably never end up visiting it. However it is actually a really nice pub, especially the upstairs area which still has the old pub charm about it - especially the lounge area. Certainly a place worth checking out.

Local Sydney pub with a large kitchen and reasonable pub grub - very large serves of traditional meals, steaks, schnitzel, burgers, pasta, etc at a reasonable price. Heaps of beers of course and a basic wine list, friendly staff. Outdoor area reccomended as away from TV screens also ideal for families and in summer Be aware there are several levels inside and outside and toilets are up narrow stairs if you have a disability.
