We frequent Thaleia for date nights, and love it every single time! The food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere and service great too!

My wife was a bit tired of cooking a dinner last night so I told her to book a table in a local restaurant. She booked a table at the Thaleia Greek Tavern for 6:00 pm. We were there on the dot and a smiling waiter received and guide us to our table, the restaurant was not too busy then. We got some drinks, which arrived very soon and the waiter provided some colouring pencils and crayons for my little boy who was delighted. Nicely decorated with large color printings of Santorini (I think), the bar is at the end with a large provision of alcoholic drinks and a small stand for a couple of musicians, yes live music will you eat and drink! The food was fantastic, very well prepared and the best Greek cuisine I have in many years except for my wife\s cooking (she is Greek!). The dips, taramosalata, melitzanosalata and scordalia were just superb (I believe made there), we also have kalamari, loukaniko and octopodi entrees that arrived in a bliss and were so delicious that I just wanted to continue asking for more! Our mains were the stifado and the slow cooked roosted lamb were just pure indulgence together with the delicious red wine from Greece that they have the whole experience was complete and just a few blocks from home The only negative is that is located right in King Georges Road and now and then you here the loud noise of the passing traffic any other thing is fine if not very good. Thumbs up to the Thaleia Greek Tavern!
