Open every day (hours will vary from weekday to weekend), Fresh Ground became our favorite cafe during our stay in the UNSW/Randwick area. In fact, by the second day they recognized us and already knew our order. They have a punch card to earn free drinks. All day breakfast is served, I loved the Veggie Wrap - poached egg, feta, tomato, chili mayo and rocket (lettuce) and their toasted banana bread. I also enjoyed a pot of T2 English Breakfast tea. And hubby\s hot chocolate was decorated and presented so nicely each day - I took photos! (I will see if I can attach them to this review). Light and bright, seating is available inside and outside. Individual tables, booth side seating and a communal table with the daily papers available to read. Good, steady crowd of people yet it didn\t feel cramped. Chilled water is served in bottles with glasses on a shelf near the barista area. I thought the prices were affordable and the food delicious. Lots of other options to explore (sandwiches, fresh squeezed juices and salads, but I so loved that Veggie Wrap (lol!) I didn\t try the other offerings. I would definitely come back to this cafe, even if I was staying at another hotel. It\s on a bus line.

Have had a sandwich lunch there twice with a friend, 4 different sandwiches, 4 superb sandwiches! Excellent service with a smile. As we have come to expect in Sydney water for the table but extra marks for Fresh Ground as that water is chilled. The fillet of beef and the No5 (chicken & avo with lettuce and chilli mayo) are both stupendous, fresh and tasty. Have only visited on a Sunday so not sure if they stock the dailys but the Sunday newspapers are provided.
