Its a hard ask to walk past a bunch of Chinese BBQ specialties hanging seductively in a shopfront window, only a stones throw from Hornsby Station, on the Westfield side. I knew this place from years ago, and was happy to find the place was open, even though it did not seem to be very open. Things seem a little soup nazi to begin with, but things soon warmed up & soon we were being poured steaming chinese tea, and perusing the menu. When in a BBQ specialty restaurant, order the BBQ Specialties is my motto. My friend ordered Tim’s BBQ Pork & Duck, while I opted for the Crispy BBQ Pork & Tims BBQ Duck, with some spring rolls to share. There lots of other things you could order too. I’m not sure what was in the spring rolls, but they were smoking hot, had a bit of a curry flavour, & were a decent size. Home made? I dunno. They tasted good when plunged into the dipping sauce.They were so hot, the waitress kindly cut them in two for us, to help them cool down! The crispy BBQ Pork & Duck had just the right amount of seasoning & saltiness for me, with notes of Chinese 5 space and the required crispiness. It would be hard to find a more tasty, fulfilling meal for a couple of Non Paleo meatosaurus eating blokes.
