The food tastes fresh. You cannot escape the aroma of food if you are passing by. The place if pretty packed during lunch. It is also more expensive as compared to other places in the vicinity. The cold press orange juice comes in a cute mason jar with a lid. You can sit outdoors on a pleasant day or choose indoors if it is rainy or too hot. The cap is slightly on the bitter side for my taste.

The Flat White here is possibly the best to be found in Sydney, perfectly balanced, leaving you wanting another as soon as you finish the first. Also had the Roast Pork Sandwich, which felt like great value at $11 - seems these guys don\t skimp on ingredients. If you\re in Sydney, seek this place out!

I like the coffee at The Roots and the service is friendly. But I was appalled at my most recent visit when I was charged an exorbitant $1 extra when I asked for almond milk instead of the standard full cream. I was not informed that it would that much extra either whilst slightly miffed me. But what ticked me most off when the barista told me that the cafe has to pay $6 for each bottle of almond milk, hence the reason why it was a full dollar extra rather than the usual 50 cents. I don\t approve of this additional 50 cents nonsense for soy milk or double shot, is it 50 cents cheaper if the customer wants a weak coffee? I think not!
