My partner and I were given a $200 red balloon voucher as a gift which we thought was a great idea and a really good way to experience something we would not normally do. We chose Crane Bar after reading the many positive reviews, our love of food and our hospitality background. the experience offered an 8 course degustation with cocktail each for $178. Within 10 minutes of sitting down we had 3 courses on the table the first being bland salmon on fried lotus root chips which were soft which lead us to think the dish along with others which were cold has been made well in advance as the chefs knew we were coming for the tasting menu. after 10mins and 3 courses in front of us, we were still yet to be offered a drinks menu ,my partner had asked to look at the drinks menu to which the waitress replied "your package includes a cocktail as part of the experience voucher.\ only then did she go and make our cocktails. Upon booking this , we were advised to allow 2 hours for this experience, yet all the food was brought out within 25 minutes. We requested that we wait awhile for dessert as we were quite full from eating 7 courses within a small time frame. While waiting for dessert we ordered two drinks one being a espresso martini which I could not fault. We left there feeling very disappointed and felt rushed to eat 8 courses within 30 mins. We left there feeling extremely disappointed and felt this experience fell short of the $178 charged.

Hostess was lovely and very gentle, but once you get to the bar, staff was rude, didn\t pay attention when I was trying to order, also decide to do something else, midway while I was ordering food. Not a pleasant experience at all.
