If you review Napoli Nel Cuore based on food alone, their traditional wood fired pizza are actually very good. However, unfortunately Napoli Nel Cuore has a few drawbacks, not least of all their standard of service. I don\t know whether it\s because they employ travellers from Italy to wait on tables, or they simply don\t provide any training in customer service and etiquette, but the overall standard of service at this restaurant is woeful. Staff are inattentive, meaning you have to get their attention to get served, and they\re rude and unaccommodating. You just don\t get the feeling your patronage is welcome. To make matters worse, the restaurant is cramped and the furniture uncomfortable. Some of the chairs are falling apart and dangerous to use. The floor is uneven and a trip hazard. On one occasion, having made a booking at a specified time, we were told to wait 30 minutes until our table was free. On another occasion on a quiet weeknight we were told to sit at a table in a narrow walkway next to the toilet when the restaurant was empty. When we asked why, the waiter said all the other tables were reserved (no reservation signs to be seen) and we could take it or leave it. We left it. Napoli Nel Cuore is well advised to take a lesson from the very successful and well patronised Via Napoli nearby, if they\re to survive in the restaurant trade. Having good pizza doesn\t mean you can let everything else slide.
