My family was staying around the corner at the Wyndham, and we found this on TripAdvisor and Yelp where the ratings were fairly good. A number of folks had called this their favorite Italian food in the area. The service was ok, the gentleman who greeted us was friendly, but I found the waiter that initially helped us a bit gruff, seemed to be in a hurry to get us going. Not unfriendly, but not terribly personable either. The food was ok, but none of us found our dishes anything special. I had the spaghetti carbonara, my wife the Gnocchi, father in law the spaghetti and meatballs and my sone the crab cakes. We thought the crab cakes would be lump crab, we should have asked, they were very much the "Maryland style" breaded and fried. I couldn\t quite figure out the sauce with my dish, very dark and strong, not the typical carbonara I am used to. Although there was nothing I would complain about, it just wasn\t what we may have hoped. We have had Italian dinners down in the Little Italy area that we enjoyed much more, and would travel to again as opposed to returning to Grifone. Be aware, the entrees here do not include any sides, including any salad, so if you want anything in addition to the main dish you will pay for it, which increases the cost of the meal noticeably.
