Walked by the front door on our walk to the East River, and on our way back had dinner there. Wonderful beet salad and good selection of wine by the glass. My wife had a rosottito with red wine, and I had the veal piccata. Great service!

This is an incredible Italian restaurant. We usually order food in from them and it is always perfect. We went in person for the first time and the result was the same-perfection. Fresh, tasty wonderful food (everything fresh including all the pasta) in a quiet, refined and classy setting with wonderful service. I hate to review it because it might get too popular. These days in NY City it is hard to find great food at a reasonable price in an environment where you can hear what you are saying. Also, as a wine freak, the list was small but impeccably sophisticated and fairly priced.

I\ve walked by this place for almost 2 years now and have never stopped in although it looked so quaint. Finally went with my wife last week and it was a treat! Our waiter Massimo took personal care of ordering for us, suggesting an amazing 1/2 order of their special pasta to start (he had me at bacon) and then he suggested a great Sangiovese for $75 that was superb. We both left with doggie bags as the portions were huge! We will make this a new regular go to spot on the Upper East side.
