Piadina is one of our favorite places to visit whenever we\re in New York City. There are a few things to remember: They are only open for dinner. They only take cash (and there\s an ATM on site). They only take reservations if your party is six or more. Other than that, this place is amazing. The staff is wonderful, friendly, welcoming. The ambience is cozy and authentic. And the food is beyond beyond. We have never ordered anything there that wasn\t delicious. One of our favorite things to order is the polenta appetizer (smothered in melted gorgonzola). Go there once and you\ll become a regular.

This small, charming space offers home-made tasting food with generous portions.. Salads, soups and pastas are all quite fine. The spinach Gnocchi was excellent. Service is very friendly, efficient and non-intrusive. Wine and beer are available. Nothing fancy but they do the job. Cash only, and this is fairly reflected by the modest pricing. Reservations are accepted for a party of 4 or more people. The 6 of us ate too much of the same things. Will likely return with another group next month to sample more dishes.
