If you like British Pubs, The Pikey is the best in LA. Don\t get me wrong, there are several great pubs in and around Hollywood, Melrose and Downtown but The Pikey beats them all. The decor could best be described as, if a hipster rummaged through the attic of Downton Abbey and pulled down all the good stuff. Chef Ralph Johnson keeps the food authentic with just enough of a twist or update on the classics. Cocktails are smart and inventive and the staff is knowledgable and fun. They also have a fantastic brunch and, my favorite, HAPPY HOUR!!!

Came here on a Tuesday night for a business event. It was happy hour when I got there so I ordered the Prince Albert ( Jack Daniels, mint, lemon juice, and Sambuca Ramazotti on the rocks) I really enjoyed it. Although even on happy hour the drinks to me were expensive I think $9 normally I think around $13. We sat in the back room for a business event and the place was very cold but inside the bar seemed to be nice and cozy. The bar area is small with some booths and I think on the opposite side there were tables for dinner. The service was great and we parked on a side street with 2 hour parking meters.

We heard that the Pikey went all out for Christmas, and it\s true! The Bar especially was decked out in greens and lights, and as we arrived early we could enjoy our drinks there. And what fun drinks they were, with names as sharp as their tastes ... like Guvnor and Pony Boy. Apps of Welsh Rarebit + B+B Pickles were good, Entrees of Goose Risotto + Vinegar Chicken better, and Desserts of Chocolate Pot + Mincemeat Ice Cream the best. A treat worth saving up for ...
