We came in here for one drink on a Friday afternoon, ending up staying for the basketball game and into the evening! Great local crowd, friendly and attentive bar staff. And would also recommend the pizza - really tasty! Go for happy hour too where drinks are half price!

Stumbled on this restaurant/bar following an early visit to Book Soup which is nearby. Secured a great high table facing the sun, diagonally opposite which was Tower Records on Sunset. Brought back many memories of record buying in the 70\s on my very first visit to LA. Sat and enjoyed a lovely cold Coors Light whilst catching the dying days sun rays and decided I was hungry enough for a cheeseburger. Service was fantastic and the burger itself wonderful. Sadly it was my last night when I discovered this wonderful place, I suspect it may be relatively new. Can find no fault with either the place, it\s position, the friendly staff, lovely cold beer and superb food. I\ll be back next time I\m in town, that\s for sure!!

My friend and I went to State Social House for dinner one night, and overall, I was pleasantly surprised that this is a pretty good gastropub. We sat outside, and the location is great for seeing all the traffic and people along the Sunset Strip. I\d say this restaurant focuses on carb-heavy food – fries and burgers and dips and the like. Not saying I don\t love those, of course, but be aware that a lot of the food seems fried to me. Maybe the menu changes regularly, but that was my experience. The pork bahn mi was a particular stand out for me here. The service was attentive and there was a very good vibe inside and on the patio. The restaurant certainly wasn\t dead, and the area inside and outside was pretty popping.
