There are two restaurants on the SE corner of Main St. and Winston, between 4th and 5th, and this restaurant has both of them. They are connected inside but only for the kitchen, not the dining area. This is a family-owned restaurant, the closest thing you can get to fast food. The menu runs to noodly dishes, like pho ("fuh") and bun. You can also get spring rolls of several kinds, fried and not. Most dishes are served with a side dish of fabulously fresh basil sprigs, bean sprouts, and sliced jalapenos. My husband loves the pho. I find hot soup too warming in summer and I don\t eat wheat, so I order the bun with egg-roll and shrimp. It\s a bed of rice noodles topped with egg-roll, shrimp, bean sprouts, cilantro, and peanuts, served at room temp. It comes with a small bowl of a mild sauce which you pour over it. I always ask for two bowls of sauce because they\re so small. You can order water, sodas, or beer. We can eat here for about $7 each, not counting drinks. The two of us can usually get out for about $20 for lunch. We\ve never been there for dinner. Service is friendly, fast, and efficient. This restaurant is busy most of the time, but we\ve always found a place to sit. There are a few tables outside on the street as well as inside both doorways. We prefer the corner room to the one next to it. Highly recommended.
