Went here with my husband for dinner and the experience was exceptional. The lentil soup was absolutely amazing. I had the Moroccan chicken and he had the kebab variety dish and both were great! Lovely atmosphere and amazing food!

Why 4 stars? We found this nice little restaurant via TripAdvisor search. We arrived at 3:00 p.m. to find the owner flipping the sign on the door to "Closed," and hanging a note that said they would reopen at 5:00. He did open the door and welcome us inside. We pointed out that the information on TripAdvisor showed them as open all afternoon. He commented that he should probably get the site updated. Had we arrived a few seconds later we would have found ourselves unable to fulfill our dining plans. Why nearly 5 stars? The title says it clearly. Once we entered the restaurant, we didn\t feel rushed or unwelcome. The owner was clearly relieved when we told him we wanted our order to-go, but it was clear that he initially expected us to dine in. He took time to carefully go over the menu with us. We felt welcomed and appreciated. The restaurant is small, perhaps 12 tables seating 2 to 4 people. It seemed very clean. Much of the kitchen is open to view, and also appeared well ordered and clean. We ordered the combination kabob. This included chicken kabobs, kafta, marinated lamb, a large portion of saffron rice, and hummus. We also got an order of chicken shawarma in case the combination was skimpy. Each came with a choice of lentil soup or salad. We opted for salad. All of the items were full of flavor. The shawarma was served on a bed of lightly cooked cabbage and rice. We both felt the cabbage added another dimension to the chicken dish. The yellow rice was perfectly cooked, and felt like a genuine addition to the meal rather than something tossed onto a plate to inflate the amount of food served. We enjoyed the kafta\s flavor and texture, and liked the lamb\s delicately spiced flavor. Although we were quite hungry, we couldn\t finish all of the meat and rice. It was a generous portion of food for about $20.00. This won\t be our last trip to this restaurant.
