Bar Takito is a neighborhood taqueria, just that. The scene is young and the noise level loud. We had the fish and pork tacos, the shrimp ceviche and classic margaritas. The ceviche was the best. The plantain chips complimented the ceviche perfectly and the size of the shrimp was right for this dish. The tacos were a hit and a miss. The fish tacos had no flavor aside from the freshly baked tortilla. The pork tacos were good, not outstanding. The margaritas tasted delicious but were on the small side. This place is for young people who desire a vibrant locale with decent food. Don\t expect to spend too much time there. They serve quite quickly. As for the price, it is pretty average for this type of new taquerias. I think you can have better tacos for less in other restaurants.

I brought my daughter and son here after LOVING Takito Kitchen in Wicker Park. Got here just before noon and only a couple tables were occupied. I thought we would have no problem getting my daughter back to work within the hour. About 15 minutes later the restaurant started filling up and I think they must have totally forgotten about our order because before I knew it the other tables who were seated 15 minutes after us were having there tacos served to them. We were still waiting. We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu and had to have the dessert packaged. Wished we just ordered tacos. Food was good but service was VERY disappointing. Don\t go for lunch!
