What a warm and friendly place! An English menu was available and the waitress (Kaori) was eagerly learning English, so we were very happy to help her practice. They had all my traditional food favorite choices for a Korean Barbque (Yakiniku in Japanese) restaurant: many grades of beef (Kalbi, Harami, Sirloin), ishiyaki bibimba (rice with spice served sizzling in a stone pot), daikon (radish) salad, kimchi (pickled cabbage), seafood soup, and assorted vegetables for grilling. As it\s done in Yakiniku style, we grilled our meats and veggies on the table grill top, savoring every delicious bite. The plate of beef was a bit more than $50 but enough for two, veggies included. We ordered all the extras and kept the entire meal around $80, including a cocktail and sake. This is pretty reasonable for Yakiniku, if you order like we do, it\s easy to spend more than $100 and still want more. We were staying at Hotel Hankyu International, Takagasu was right across the street in a small strip mall of restaurants just outside of Uneda/Hankyu Rail Station. This specific location listed here on Trip Advisor is not in the Dotonbori area, perhaps there\s a second one in that famous tourist zone? Anyhow, just wanted to rave about this place, even the owner (I think) greeted us so kindly at the end that I had to share and recommend this place for not only the great food but the very foreigner friendly staff. Domo arrigato gozaimashita Takagadu!
