We found this tiny piece of Italian heaven in Tokyo! After visiting many countries in SE Asia for a month, we were looking for a meal with a little more resemblense to our home cooking for dinner. Our last dinner in Tokyo was blessed in a tiny place with a real taste of Italy. The Il-Chianti Rossa is small, it has 12 seats in the front and 12 more in the back, and was a real treat. The food was more than one should expect for Italian food in Japan, and they have a choice of 6 Chiantis to choose from. They serve excellent appetizers and are more than willing to accommodate your suggestions. The menu options cover all bases, and are well done. The staff, like the entire population of Tokyo, are the kindest, sweetest people in the world. If you are in Tokyo and are craving some Italian food, don\t give it a second thought, they will not disappoint! Il-Chianti Rosso has the kind of atmosphere that only small, relatively unknown places can provide. A reservation is a good idea as they are pretty small!
