We went to Shakey&#39;s more for nostalgia than anything else. The taste is reminiscent of what you get in Shakey&#39;s in other parts of the world. The main offering is buffet but for a family of six like ours with small kids a buffet meal is not always the most economical. The staff are only too happy for us to order ala carte. All the staples are there, manager&#39;s choice pizza (thin crust), fried chicken and mojo potatoes.

- Pizza is above average compared to other japanese restaurants - place is little cramped - all you can eat .. which is good - you can also choose 1 drink with unlimited refills, so if you choose cola then you are stuck with drinking cola for the end of the night - not my favorite place in shibuya, but one of the top 5 - depends on your luck what kind of pizza they are serving now, sometimes it is really good but mostly it is average

I visited Shakey&#39;s in Shibuya for dinner and I ordered a pizza, which although it wasn&#39;t overly expensive (about $8.50AUD) it was also very small with very little toppings on it. For around a further $7.50AUD I ordered the chicken skewers, receiving two of them on a small plate it really felt like their should be at least two more skewers for the price. The beer was reasonable at around $4.00AUD, but I ended up eating a second dinner elsewhere because it really wasn&#39;t much food for the price. I also found the staff quite abrasive as though they were annoyed I was bothering them to do their jobs. Also they didn&#39;t give me a receipt and it seemed they charged me for an extra item that I didn&#39;t order or receive, but I actually preferred not to argue and just get out of there because the staff made me feel that uncomfortable. I won&#39;t be going back.
