If you like the Japanese -Style curry rice this is definitively the place to go. Located nearby Ebisu station, in a quite small street where you can forget the hustle & bustle of the city, this restaurant can accomodate around 15-20 guests inside plus a couple of guest outside near the entrance where, if the weather is good, you can also bring along your dog. I love eating curry rice and I have been searching around for many years before finally finding Montenvers which serves a true delicacy with simplicity and high attention to details. Th eowner is a ski lover, as you can realise by the old pair of skis hanging on the wall and the beautiful pictures of the Swiss mountains. It is not rare to seat nearby small groups of mountain lovers who plan their excursions in front of an incredibly good dish of curry rice. The curry topped with omelet or with hamburger is very good, as well as the one with the fried pork cutlet, in which you can taste the great care the owner puts in choosing very good quality ingredients. Considering the location and the quality of food, this place - that deserves a Michelin star for "being excellent in its category" - has an incredibly good value for price and it is definitively worth a visit if you are in its neighborhood and you are a curry-rice lover.
