Leaving the hustle and bustle of Saint Peter\s square on a very hot day, the only restaurants we came across were full of tourists (Like us!) We wondered through side streets in a strange City, looking for a suitable place for luncheon. We came across Krug, which was compleately empty, not a good sign, but we had a feeling. The sole waiter welcomed us, made us comfortable , and came over to discuss the menu. What a meal the wines suggested were reasonable, the meal very good, but the highlight was the primo course, Champagne and caviar risotto! Just to die for, one of the most memorable meals, worth a flight to Rome alone

We went here for an evening meal after four nights in Rome. This restaurant was the best by far. We sat outside and received very polite and helpful service whilst watching the locals pass us by. Krugh antipasti to share, followed by cacio e pepe and the best carbonara either of us had ever tasted. For desert we both had tiramisu which was lovely. We had a bottle of house red which was very good and a glass of prosecco with desert as recommended by our waiter. All in all an excellent and highly recommended restaurant

Was walking by this place when the person standing outside talked us into coming in. We were very glad we did. The service was a little slow, more so than most restaurants in Italy, but was worth the wait.
